Description

A Link is one of the fundamental glitches in Rain World. When two objects or creatures are connected via a link, they will travel together. If one member of a link travels through a pipe or enters a den, all linked objects and creatures will warp to the pipe and travel through with it.

Different types of Links can be combined; for example, a lizard can have a Prey Link connecting it to a held Squidcada, while the Squidcada has a Batspear Link connecting it to Slugcat (who is holding a linked Batspear, connected to it via an Object Link). If either Slugcat or the lizard enters a pipe, all members of the link will be warped to it.

Many linkages are intentional, such as a creature holding its prey, or an item being held by a scavenger. However, these linkages can be abused, allowing for unique techs. Other linkages, such as Batspears, are completely unintentional.

A prey link connects the vulture and lizard. Object links connect the lizard to the impaled batspear and slugcat to the batspear it is holding. A batspear link connects the two spears.

Object links, batspear links, and prey links connect several creatures.

An object link connects slugcat to its backspear, and scavenger item links connect the scavenger to its items. There is no link between slugcat and the deer.
