Description

This warp is a form of vulturewarp. By being linked to a vulture and a lizard, then having the lizard enter a creature shortcut, it’s possible to trigger a warp. If the vulture travels to another room while the lizard is in the shortcut, a warp will occur. The warp has different effects depending on where the lizard is in the shortcut. If it’s still in the first half (entrance is lit up, or there are no lights), the warp will not be permanent and the vulture will be teleported to the room the lizard is in once it exits the shortcut. Any Batspears attached to the vulture will be deleted. If the lizard is in the second half (exit lights are lit up), the slugcat and the lizard will be teleported to the vulture. The camera isn’t teleported and the player may or may not have control of slugcat.

Notes

As this method relies on creatures voluntarily entering shortcuts, it is very difficult to manipulate. Because of this, it’s only been done using Dev Tools to force the lizard into the shortcut at the right time. Theoretically it’s possible to do without, but this has yet to be proven. In addition, a mistimed warp can destroy the batspear linkage, which in the case of OE Warp, would immediately result in a failed cycle, as the lizard is too damaged to spear again.
